Driver 61 | Scott Mansell On How To Go Fast In Sim Racing
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
Driver 61 head coach, Scott Mansell, takes some time out of his busy schedule to discuss the pros and cons of how to drive quickly in a real or virtual racing car, whilst sharing some fascinating insights into a long and varied driving career.

Some people are born with immense natural talent in the art of racing a car at breakneck speeds right on the very edge of their ultimate performance level. Drivers like Jim Clark, Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton have all displayed that inner confidence and sheer outright skill from a very early age.

Other drivers take more time to develop into their full potential, gathering experience and learning how best to maximise themselves and the cars underneath them.

Sim racers come in all different ages and experiences, often with a premium on the amount of time they have available to indulge in their favourite hobby of virtual motorsport. If you are a complete novice and looking to find some much needed consistency, or a front runner that’s wanting to take the next step towards becoming an alien, then driver coaching could well offer that leg up needed to give you the tools required to achieve your potential.

Driver 61 are a long established driver coaching organisation offering the benefit of their experience to help real and virtual drivers make a step forward with their track performance. In this interview, Driver 61 Head Coach Scott Mansell chats with RaceDepartment’s Paul Jeffrey about what it takes to race at a high level, and shares some of his experiences in the world of real and virtual motorsport.

RaceDepartment are proud to welcome Driver 61 as an official broadcast sponsor of the SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship, and thank them for their continued support. During the course of the the current season, keep an eye out for our upcoming Driver 61 viewer prize, which we will be giving away during one of our future broadcasts of the SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship season. Wanting to go quicker? This could well be just the thing for you!
