The Flight Sim Deck has published a cool video of the Microsoft Flight Simulator where they introduce how to leave the aircraft for a walk. The video starts from the airport parking lot where the narrator will walk through the open gate to the tarmac area for a walk around the Cessna 152. This is something unseen in flight simulators up to date, doubt it is made for walking around the planet’s purpose, but it looks very fun and welcome unexpected bonus. You can hear the environment sounds around you, cars driving by, and the wind blowing.
You are free to walk anywhere on the Earth for example have a closer look at the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Great Pyramids in Egypt. In this video, we see walking footage from several different locations, and the details look really good. The MSFS team has spoken about keeping the newest Flight Simulator updated at least for the upcoming 10 years, so I bet the level of detail is just getting better as years go by. To activate the so-called walk around mode open the Custom Toolbar and via Camera icon choose Showcase. This activates the Drone camera mode which allows you to move around or walk if you feel so, freely.
Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available for Windows 10 on August 18, 2020, as downloadable worldwide from Microsoft Store and Steam as well as boxed disc-publication from Aerosoft. Prices are for Standard 69.99 EUR, Deluxe 89.99 EUR, and Premium Deluxe 119.99 EUR.
