International Virtual Aviation Organization, abbreviated and better known as IVAO, informs they will release new versions of both IVAO Pilot Client: Altitude and IVAO ATC Client: Aurora with a brand-new voice integration on September 5th, 2020. This update will end the long history with the standalone TeamSpeak2 client, hence resolving several compatibility issues some users have had. New voice integration includes real-life VHF effects such as blocking of reception when the current transmission is broadcasting, push-to-talk clicks (end of transmission sound), and background static noise.
The New ICAO Pilot Client: Altitude will come with built-in voice volume controls for each COM, also the possibility to choose preferred audio input and output hardware as well as Press-To-Transmit, PTT, to be what user want. The new ATC Client: Aurora will have a new feature called Ground Radar or also known as Map Rotation. Currently, all sector files are oriented north. This ground radar feature allows air traffic controllers to rotate their maps freely.
IVAO network will not experience any downtime on Saturday, September 5th, 2020, neither this update will not halt the compatibility of the legacy software. IVAO members who prefer to continue with the old versions of the software will still be able to do so.
