The Cessna 152 is a two-seat, metal airframe, tricycle landing gear, general aviation airplane build at the Cessna factory in Kansas, United States. It has been used primarily for flight training and private use for more than thirty years. It is based on the earlier Cessna 150 with minor design changes and a more powerful 110 horsepower (82 kW) Lycoming O-235 engine compatible with the 100LL fuel. The first Cessna 152 was delivered in 1977 until the production of all Cessna light aircraft ended in 1985. A total of 7,584 variants including tailwheel landing gear and STOL kits has been built worldwide.
The Cessna 152 can be loaded with the pilot, passenger, and a fuel total of 267 kg (589 lb) the maximum take-off weight being 757 kg (1,670 lb). While cruising at a normal speed of 107 knots (198 km/h) the flight range can be as much as 415 nautical miles (768 km). The service ceiling is quite high 14,700 feet (4,500 meters) so remember to take supplemental oxygen with you if climbing higher than 10,000 feet. The flight lessons section on MSFS is flown with Cessna 152 so you will learn the basics of flying with this aircraft like many do when starting their real-life aviation career.
There’s a freeware Realism Mod available, which increases the realism of the Cessna 152 that’s included with MSFS. It’s more than highly recommended to install it due to updated flight dynamics, gauges, and electronics behavior, among many other enhancements.
