The Cessna Citation family consists of light business jets and it was launched in October 1989, built by Cessna in the United States. The first test flight was flown in April 1991 followed by the first delivery in March 1993. The latest CJ4 model was launched in October 2006 with 21 inches longer cabin structure compared to the previous model. Powered by two Williams FJ44-4A turbofans to deliver 2 pilots and up to 10 passengers to its destination. In 2011, the CJ4 was temporarily grounded because of fires in the original Lithium-ion battery equipment.

The Cessna Citation CJ4 is capable of en route a maximum range of 2,165 nautical miles (4,010 km) and cruise altitude up to 45,000 feet (13,716 meters). The maximum payload is 1,007 kg (2,220 lb) it can fly a 448 kg (987 lb) onboard with full fuel tanks and commence take-off from 1,040 meters (3,410 feet) long runway on standard conditions. For maximum cruise flight, you can assume to go as fast as 451 knots (835 km/h) and expect landing distance not to be longer than 896 meters (2,940 feet).

Working Title has released a mod, which increases the realism of the Cessna Citation CJ4, that comes with the MSFS. Updates for this mod are released regularly, so check Working Title’s GitHub download page from time to time. Update v0.10.3 release includes a fix for the doubled flaps lift since the UK update and brings more new features such as more realistic GNSS POS INIT procedure, added Datalink section with ability to request METAR/TAF/ATIS, and added target and current altitude display in meters. Also, Working Title added a prominent warning to the MFD when an incompatible add-on livery is used.
